MO(i)RE = Memorandums of Interest, Request for Engagement
Pronunciation & Usage: The (i) is silent. Say it like the word “more” in reference to one. Referencing two or more we add an “s” on the end and say “mores”. When your asking someone if they’d like to see some more MO(i)REs you should always condense the words together, and deliver it with enthusiasm like this “Who’s ready for S’MO(i)RES ?!”.
Most people don’t like memos, but in most cases we’d all like atleast a little bit more of something, and who doesn’t like the idea of S’mores?
Inspiration: Our inspiration for MO(i)REs comes from the “Snowflakes” that Donald Rumsfeld was known for. Some of us had the great pleasure of getting to know him. Put the politics aside and objectively, he was the kind of person who could get things done. Also, a lot of us grew up in a time before every kid had more food allergies than friends, so we liked Smores and think this is just a fun way to add some levity.
The Purpose of a MO(i)RE: The object is to quickly share an idea with a group of people or organizations that might be interested, or those we think we’d like to work with. We recognize that we don’t know everything or everyone so we put them out there with the expectation and understanding that we probably missed someone or something.
Where can I find MO(i)REs? At the moment, check out the LinkedIn page.
